The first beauty competition

Where three goddesses(Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite)competed for the title of “the fairest.”

Chosen as the judge, Paris had to decide between power (offered by Hera), wisdom and military glory (offered by Athena), and the love of the most beautiful woman in the world (offered by Aphrodite).

Paris chose Aphrodite as the winner, giving her the golden apple. His decision had enormous consequences: Aphrodite rewarded him with Helen of Sparta, whose abduction triggered the Trojan War.

Thus, a divine beauty contest ended up shaping the fate of both mortals and gods.
